The towers of San Gimignano
San Gimignano, one of the best preserved medieval towns in all Italy, awaits the visitors eager to climb one of its famous towers, visit one of the many interesting museums, or just stroll along the narrow streets looking at the many craftsmen s’ workshops.
Tour of the beautiful hamlet of San Gimignano, Unesco site since 1990 and famous for its medieval towers still standing and giving it a very special skyline.
We'll walk on the main street, former pilgrimage road called "Via Francigena", doing some detours on typical side alleys to discover nice views of the Tuscan countryside and look at the many craftsmen s’ workshops.
In one of the main squares it is possible to taste one of the best gelato in Tuscany, giving us the energy to walk to the top of the hill, where the former Fortress is and where we can climb on a tower to enjoy the panorama over the countryside and towers.
